Airports and border crossings
Basra International Airport and the Shalamcheh crossing: design, construction and rehabilitation of buildings, runway, gates and security systems.
Three group companies work on the airport and the crossings: Al Sagban delivered phase two of the Shalamcheh border crossing and the fire detection system and inner and outer security fence of Basra International Airport; Al-Hillal has worked on the airport development programme since 2022 under successive contracts for the terminal, runway, gate and inspection building, and built phase one of Shalamcheh; and Signature designed the airport's main gate, inspection facility and passenger hall.
